Tremaine ~ Cleveland

Marty Dew! (Hip Hop)

The shorties on the first day of classes!

We spent last weekend in Cleveland, Ohio for the Tremaine Dance Convention. Kayla's dance company took 2 days worth of classes and had competition Saturday night. The girls did awesome (as did the rest of the studio) and took first place for both "Rugrat Robbery" (hip-hop) and "Hands Down" (jazz). The first place finishes qualify them for the National Finals in Orlando, FL in July :) Yay!

We have a little break for a couple weeks then she'll be competing at the Jump competition and convention here in Buffalo (March 13, 14, 15th).

Mamma Mia!

Girls Night Out on Sunday...Lori and I took Mom to see Mamma Mia for her birthday and it was amazing! It was playing at Shea's and that is always a treat in itself to go to the theater. I wasn't sure what to expect, I really didn't even know what the story was about...but I was impressed. I laughed out loud and cried...think I'll have to go rent the movie now :)

Labatt Pond Hockey

Last Saturday Mike played in the Labatt Blue Buffalo Pond Hockey Tournament in the Erie Basin Marina. It was a gorgeous 41˚ and perfect for the spectators...not so much for the ice. The lake was still frozen with a solid 13" of ice, but the players were chewing it up nicely with the warm temps.

Zambonis...hehehe

The teams skate four-on-four and shoot at a special pond hockey nets that are six inches tall and six feet wide. All of the teams compete in a round robin competition spread among eight brackets, with the playoffs set among the eight division winners...Mike's team didn't make the playoffs, but they seemed to have a fun time anyway.
