Today I ran...

I did this one for Laura's Use the Prompts Journal Challenge at Gotta Pixel.

Journal reads:
This was my first run of Spring and coincidentally the first since Mom died. There used to be a time when running was my escape, my time to be alone with my thoughts. Now, I don’t like to be alone with my thoughts...they are painful and still so sad. It took everything I had not to just stop, walk home and forget about it. It hurt to keep going, but I don’t ever want to disappoint her. Even now. I’m going to keep running and hopefully it will become more therapy for me...my time to deal with it instead of bottling it all up inside. April 7, 2011

ADSR #5 & #6

And the race goes on...

Leg #5 was hosted by Oscraps and was to scrap a page about what you would dream of doing for a whole day (or longer) if you could get away from the family.

Leg #6 was to be hosted by Digital Scrap Ink but due to unimaginable circumstances the nice folks at NDISB took the reins and submitted an optional challenge...

Let me explain...Due to the fact that Michelle from Digital Scrap Ink is gravely ill and in the hospital the regularly scheduled challenge was not posted. Michelle was recently diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-Jacob disease. It is a rare form of brain damage that leads to a rapid decrease of mental function and movement. She has a husband and 2 young boys, and she will die from this. If you would like to read more about this devastating story click HERE. There is information on how to help her family if you are able...if not, keep them in your prayers.

Challenge #6 was to create a card for Michelle and her family...although optional, seems like the very least the scrapping community could do for her...

The 4th Challenge was found at DigiScrapStation and was an Intersection! This means we both had to work on the challenge to complete one page. I provided Kim with the photos and journaling and she created the LO...and did a stellar job, I might add! Thanks Kim :)

The Amazing Digi Scrapping Race is BACK!

I'm a little late on the posting but we've started another season of ADSR! This is the 6th season, and the 2nd year for Team iPixelators.
